As a volunteer for the Morton Ranch Athletic Booster Club (MRHSABC), you are expected to attend the monthly meetings held on the third Monday of every month (except December).
Secretary- This position records minute notes of the public meeting and then of our board meetings. The minutes are then provided at the next monthly meeting. This position will bring the minutes to the meeting or forward them to the President if unavailable to attend a monthly ABC meeting. Volunteer at one or two of sale events in the beginning of the year and volunteer at the Wrestling tournament in January. As a board member you have a vote to disburse funds for requested purchases from coaches for their specific sport. Bring ideas to improve the fundraising aspects to MRHSABC and make suggestion to improved parent participation.
Spiritwear- This position will be divided into two categories. One will be FAN CLOTH and the other will be Spirit-wear. Fan-Cloth is a fundraising apparel catalog company that we use specifically with each individual sport at MRHS. This position would coordinate with Fan-Cloth and they (Fan Cloth puts together an order catalog that is presented to coaches and parents on a parent team meeting night, typically right at the beginning of each individual sport..This position will coordinate with Fan-Cloth and a respective Head Coach of each team at MRHS if they desire a catalog for their athletes.
Spiritwear position will order a couple of different style of shirts, hats, sweatshirt with different Maverick logos, that are not sport specific but MRHS Maverick specific. These items will be sold at Fall Town Pep rally, Open House,varsity (HOME) Football games, Spring Pep rally and Meet the coach in May. MRHSABC maintains a storage unit directly across the street from Legacy which makes transporting an ease. This position will sell at these events with additional volunteers to assist.
Program Ads Team- This position attempts to get businesses, friends or family members to place ads in our football programs. These Ads can run in programs only at Morton Ranch Football games or in every Katy ISD program at their respective football game. Depends on the type of ad the business or individual would prefer to purchase. This is a fundraising project for MRHSABC. Sales typically start in May and end in July. Any Ad's sold will be forward-to the treasurer for deposit. Then Ads' that need to go to other schools will be done in our August meeting, where all Booster Clubs are present and trade thumb drives or Disc. Ad pictures are sent to our printer who puts the entire program together, quick pre-check is done and then the printer will print whatever amount is requested. Program ads are sold at the football games for $5. After football season, its over. Just volunteer at a couple of the events throughout the year. This position is requires minimal computer skills, such as attaching a photo or Jpeg to an email, nothing of any expertise. Someone will take pictures at teh football games and forward them to teh printer, so next weeks Program Ad will feature players from the previous week.
Parliamentarian- This position will review our bylaws and makes sure that ABC is following our bylaws and conducting business as set forth in teh bylaws. The by laws are on our website for public viewing. Volunteer at a few events throughout teh year and be part of a great team at MRHSABC.
Hospitality- This position coordinates with local restaurants to provide meals for home games at Rhodes or Legacy Stadium. Usually coordinating in August and completed by September 1st.
Website- This position coordinates with the MRHSABC and coaches to update and maintain this website.
